GEAR PRO Professional Edition (GPPE) for DVD +/- R/RW CD-R/RW, is a
software package for DVD-R(W) and CD-RW recording. In addition to all
the features supported by GEAR Video, GEAR PRO versions can be run
from scripts of GEAR commands, in GEAR batch files. GEAR commands and
feedback can be saved in GEAR log files, which can later be saved or
edited to create GEAR batch files. GEAR PRO versions support the
detection and logging of uncorrected errors when reading / copying
CDAudio discs on drives that support this capability. GEAR PRO
Mastering Edition (GPME) , is an advanced DVD/CD software package that
allows you to premaster DVD-ROM, DVD-Video, and CDs for Digital Audio,
Video, Game titles, multimedia productions and much more. In addition
to the features supported by GEAR PRO Professional Edition, the
Mastering Edition supports the creation and writing of dual-layer
(DVD-9) titles. It provides the ability to write completed projects in
DDP format (Disc Description Protocol) for CD and DVD productions.
GPME can read and convert CDs and DVDs to DDP Images, including the
ability to include and verify checksums, generate and include a log
file with the image, compress and encrypt the image, and transfer the
image to a mastering facility or disc replicator over the Internet via
FTP. Pure UDF and incremental packet writing to CD and DVD media is
also supported, as well as Creating Unix Rock Ridge format on Windows.
In addition, support for several CD jukeboxes is included.
